Anti-Child Trafficking

Working together in Mankessim in the Central Region of Ghana in partnership with the International Organization for Migration and the Geneva Global International, we have helped to rehabilitate, reintegrate and reunite rescued trafficked children from the Yeji fishing community in the Brong-Ahafo Region with their respective families in the Mfantsiman District.

Altogether, this project has reached over 200 trafficked youth in the Makessim district of  Yeji, the fishing community in the Brong Ahafo, 200 children in child mining in the Obuasi Municipality and 70 children in the Mfantsiman District of the Central Region.

Over the past three years, 91 children were rescued , removed from dangerous working conditions, rehabilitated, reintegrated into their communities, and reunited with their families. And, 91 families have been provided with micro-credit financial assistance to be able to provide the basic necessities for their children. Overall, Pro-Link has rescued 91 children and empowered 91 families.
